I first ordered this reel in January after reading several reviews and was very excited. Finally got it delivered in May and unfortunately had to send it back when the drag system wouldn’t operate correctly. Received a replacement and now this reel has noticeable gear noise in certain positions. One cast will be smooth as can be, next cast it’s as if I can feel every tooth on the gear.These are a ground up design that just came out in 2021. On paper this reel should be fantastic. But after two disappointments I’ve decided to return it again and wait to see if Okuma will work out some of these early production kinks. In the meantime I’ll stick to Daiwa
