Awesome reel for bass fishing, good retrieve speeds and the spool works great with braid. The reel has no reverse play at all, very good drag sounds and action. I definitely recommend this one if you are considering buying. These reels have a very good drag. I have 4 of them in a couple different sizes. The only thing I wish they were a little cheaper.Finesse fishing with spinning gear is my go to technique as I usually fish for river Smallmouth bass. You need something light but powerful to fight them. This reel is everything any fisherman could want-quiet, smooth, light and has a very powerful drag. I paired mine with a 7 foot 2 inch medium light Bass Pro Carbonlite spinning rod and the feel is unmatched. The other nice surprise was it was about 25 bucks cheaper on Amazon than at my local Cabelas. I highly recommend this reel for anyone who is looking for high performance and light weight. Definitely worth the price.I have 3 of these now. High quality. Super smooth, light and slick looking. Casts flawless. Don’t think they are worth $200 retail but when I find them on sale at a good price I will snag one!Running the 3000 model on a 7 ft fenwick HMG mostly for pike and bass fishing. Runs 3/8 and 1/2 ounce spinning baits easily, would move up to a larger size for 3/4 ounce lures. This is by far the smoothest cranking reel I’ve put hands on. Recently picked up the new shimano Vanford and this beats it for 70 dollars less.Bought one for my girlfriend to pair with her Lamiglas x-11 steelhead/salmon rod. What. A. Treat. We got the 4000 size and it is amazingly light! She landed an 18 lb King Salmon and three Brown Trout over 10 lbs from Lake Michigan tributaries last fall with it. Super strong. Drag soooooo silky and stays that way at very heavy settings. I feel like we should buy a few more of these reels in various sizes and call it good for a decade.Very impressed. This was my first reel that costs over $100. Well worth it. Cast nicely, smooth retrieve. I have not caught anything with it yet so i cannot speak about the drag.I sometimes think I am holding a much smaller reel but when put to task, it shows up as a fantastic Bass reeling system. Hauled in a 30 inch Pickerel with no trouble, about 4 lbs and full of piss and vinegar. Several Bass all under 2 lbs so far. All whacky rigged. But I am sure it will handle a much larger Bass with the system. 7'0" MH St.Croix Mojo Bass and 15-lbs Powerpro v2 slick. great stuff. Almost as comfortable as my 7'3" MH GLoomis MegaBass with a Stradic ci4 and 15lb PP with shakey head. But I am leaning toward the Daiwa almost universally. Tying on new rigs becomes a semi-chore in a kayak with battle tested hands and age. I carry a minimum of 5 rods always so I can swap out a technique. 2 baitcast for Carolina rigs and two spinning rods. A fifth light weight panfish rod and sometimes two or more of those. If I had to rebuy all that gear again, I would get the the Tatula over the Stradic because of Price differential. Hard to beat little reel. If on sale, snatch it up you won't regret it!Mulinello splendido della fascia medio-alta di Daiwa. Sottolineo che a parità di prezzo ad oggi è il mulinello più leggero che esista.Super light reel and the drag in it is really smooth to help control strong fish, i also have a shimano stradic CI4+ and this reel is on par for quality and weightGood productIncredibly smooth and light reel, ordered a 2000 at first but was extremely small so exchanged for the 3000, weighs 6.9 ounces loaded with line.Quality product from Daiwa, light and smooth.
