First off the size 10 is the size of most brands 20. So just something to be aware of. I bought 2. One is really smooth, the second one has a point of resistance in a part of the reel crank. Everytime you get to that part of the rotation it gets really stiff and sounds like metal colliding. It's functional but annoying. Everything else is great. But disappointing to get that quality in a fairly pricy reel.Good reel for the price.I bought this reel(1.0) for my husband for Father's Day. He loves it and said "This is the best pan fishing reel I've used. I love it so much I'm going to also use it for ice fishing." He likes how smooth the drag is on smaller fish. He also likes how light the reel is and says it pairs well with his ultra light Omen rod.No reverse on this reel. Feels very heavy compared to other reels of this size. Drag feels amazing. Mechanically it feels smooth as butter. Frame feels very large for being size 1.0 . Overall an ok reel. But would I buy it again or even another model made by 13 fishing? Short answer no.The Architect A did nothing but amazing me. The reel is smooth like butter. I also love the durability and trust the AA brings me when fighting bigger fish! Not only does this reel perform great, it also looks and feels amazing. If you’re looking for a Grade A spinning reel that will exceed your expectations, this is it!This Architect A spinning reel has worked flawlessly so far, caught about 50 to 60 bass with it. I have 15 pound braid with a fluoro leader and am throwing it on a Omen Black 7’1” medium heavy.The reel is very smooth and the drag is like butter! The price point for this quality of reel seems extremely fair.Paired this 2.0 reel up with my 7’1” MH 13 blackout out rod. Great combination. The reel feels good in the hand and cast very smooth.I needed a new reel for the trip I just got back from. I paired the Architect with a 6'10" ML rod for weightless worms and finesse applications. The drag is light and not at all "jerky" which I've experienced with some other reels that I have. It casts well and the line management has been good so far. I was fishing with a light 12lb braid and a fluoro leader.
